WordPress is the best CMS platform. “Wordpress CMS” are two terms synonymous with each other, as it is the word’s most popular website, and it powers nearly 40% of the websites on the Internet.

When speaking of WordPress, I’m speaking of WordPress.org. WordPress.org is an open source CMS for blogging, but it can be used for various other purposes. The CMS has been people’s preferred platform, and it hasn’t changed in a while.

2. Joomla

Joomla is free open source CMS platform. Like WordPress.com, it features various templates and extensions for any of its users. It also comes down with a hosting and domain name. It’s also one of the longest running CMS platforms, having been here since 2005.

3.Drupal

Drupal is another great alternative from WordPress and Joomla. It is used by various major companies, including universities, and the major publication, The Economist.

Despite it being a CMS, it is a good option if people want to hire a developer, as the developers can help you build a highly customized site for your own needs. It’s user management system is also well-known, and it features various plugins like it’s other competitors.

4. WooCommerce

WooCommerce is the most popular eCommerce content management platform in the world. Despite it technically not being a CMS, since it is a plugin for WordPress, it is considered by many to technically be a CMS.

WooCommerce has its own extensions, it, like WordPress has many extensions; themes, etc, and allows you to design, modify, and create content, a basic function if you are running a CMS website.

5. BigCommerce

Unlike WooCommerce, BigCommerce is not a plugin. It is also a well-known alternative to WooCommerce on the CMS web. Unlike with other paid-based CMS, like WordPress.com where you have to pay to get better security, BigCommerce does it for you.

It is not free, as there is a trial plan; furthermore, it features 24/7 customer support chat; it also allows customers to pay through various ways like PayPal, etc.
